The Oscars

I didn't watch the Oscars today, and this may make me seem disinterested, but that is contrary to my actual beliefs. I love the Oscars. I love the fashion the beauty of a good movie and all that comes with it. It is much less disquieting than the Grammys, probably because Kanye West isn't in the audience. I love a good movie, but unfortunately most of the movies are rated R and I personally don't watch rated R movies. They may have great cinematography and acting, but the dissonance of cursing at inappropriate content leave less to be desired. And I am fully aware that this view dissents from mainstream dogma, but I feel that my discriminating views allow me to live a more peaceful life. So I tend to be fairly dispassionate about most of the nominations. 

Tomorrow, the news of the winners will disseminate in every corner with astonishing dispatch as ever, but my disposition won't change from who won what award and it will most likely come off as disingenuous, but its not. I just didn't watch the Oscars. …plus I don't have cable to watch it...
